\r\n\r\nThe marine environment presents extremely aggressive conditions for the materials and equipment used on vessels, both in the nautical and naval sectors.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe constant exposure of vessels to salt water, humidity, temperature fluctuations, and pollutants leads to two recurring issues: metal corrosion\u00a0oxidation and fouling of organic and inorganic origin.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nMetal\u00a0surfaces in the nautical and naval sector are continuously exposed to a highly corrosive saline environment (extreme corrosivity category CX according to UNE-EN ISO 12944). Even when metals are properly coated or protected by paint systems, they eventually oxidize, requiring maintenance operations consisting of cleaning, rust removal, and repainting processes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
