PROQUIMIA has two production plants in the world which are aimed at guaranteeing the demand of our several national and international sales departments and of the centres in charge of regulating the distribution of our products. VIC, central installations located 74 Km. north of Barcelona (Spain) with 19.020 m2, from which 6,096 m2 are built up and used for production. The plant works under the protection of the international rules of quality control ISO 9001 and environmental management ISO 14001and OHSAS 18001 certified by APPLUS. The facilities are in very good condition and they are working at about 70% of their capacity with 60 skilled workers divided into two shifts. Nearly all our products are manufactured in Proquimia's facilities, which allows us to control perfectly their quality and productivity in every one of their productions lines: Solids. Plant for the mixing, homogeneisation, filling and capping of products which contain classified materials. Detergents. Plant for the mixing, powdering process, filling and capping of solid products, mainly meant for laundry. Liquids. Plant for the production of liquids in reactors which hold from 200 liters -for pilot productions- to 25,000 liters -for the products in greatest demand-. The processes of homogenisation, production planning and dosage of raw materials are totally automated. Thus, we manage to minimise mistakes and industrial accidents and get the lowest costs at the highest quality. We have filling and capping machinery -with capacity from 500 ml. to 25 liters- and semiautomatic systems for capacities up to 1,000 liters for all kinds of liquids, even oxidisers and corrosives. The best batch size and stock level are constantly adjusted to the demand of each product in order to avoid breaking while being delivered and to get the lowest production and financial cost. Although the raw materials we use are mainly supplied by local companies, we also have international suppliers who observe rules regarding the quality control and who are engaged with our company. LA HABANA, CUBA. This installation has 12,128 m2, from which 6,480 m2 are built up and used for production. It has the certification of Quality Control -ISO 9002- approved by the International Bureau Veritas and the Cuban National Office of Normalisation. It also has three production lines with state-of-the-art technology for the production of: Solids. Powders for the supply of laundry products. Liquids. Reactors with a totally automated dosage and homogenisation for the production of our several commercialised liquid formulations. Filling an capping machinery. We have filling and capping machinery with capacity ranging from 500 ml to 25 liters and semiautomatic systems for capacities up to 1,000 liters. We stock up with raw materials coming both from national suppliers as well as others coming from Spain, Mexico, Santo Domingo and other neighbouring countries.
